Hey there! I'm not sure if the release date is different depending on which country you live in, but here in the US the new Guardians book all about Ezylryb is out! I went and bought a copy this evening!

I haven't started it yet but I'm very excited to and plan to hopefully sometime tonight! If you have a copy feel free to have a discussion here on your thoughts of the book!

To avoid spoiling the book for those who don't have it yet or haven't gotten as far into it as you have yet, it'd be great if you could put something like this in your post:

Quote:
*Spoilers for Chapters 6 and beyond*
(this is an example. so far in here there are no actual spoilers!)

Actually I won't be able to read the Rise of a Legend 'till August 1st. That's when it comes out in Texas, where I live. You're so lucky! I WILL BEAT YOU!
However it is good because we're going on a trip, and my parents want me to have something to read. We will leave the night of August 1st so I'll get it the day it arrives. But I will tell you my thoughts on it when I get it. (I know I'm going to like it though! Wink)

And I will make sure to put a box around the spoilers. Good thinking Mikey!)
Wink

I will also not be bale to buy till the 1st of August, I hope it is good and that it ties together some loose ends created by the series.

Ahh, I don't know if it's available in my area since I'm out of state right now. When I get home, I'll definitely check!

I haven't had much time to read this week until now but I'm glad that I finally do. I just finished the Owlet Moons segment (1/3 of the book) and I'm really loving it so far!

There's also a few extra full sized two page pictures in here between each segment and they're really awesome!

Ah! I totally forgot about that. I need to check the library if I could get the book.
But I do want to know whether the book is similar to the "Capture", or is it totally different from what you have read so far?

If answering this question might reveal the contents of the book then you could just PM me. Smile

Coming back to say I JUST finished the book! since I read the majority of it in a few hours I hope that is a sign to everybody that this is a pretty wonderful prequel! I'm so excited to hear what you guys think of it!

@Arthas: similar to the capture in what way? as in the same time that the events in the capture occurred? If so, it takes place way beforehand; the plot is ezylryb's life starting from the night he hatched and describes the war of the ice claws in much further detail.

I meant whether the story is similar to the one found in the Capture.
Like Gwen had mentioned earlier on before the book was released that it sounded like a repeat of Soren's path of becoming a Guardian. Ighar betraying Ezylryb sounding similar to Kludd betraying Soren and other similar references...

*POTENTIAL SPOILERS
No, I wouldn't say that it's that similar at all. Ifghar doesn't even appear until at least halfway through, since he's a younger brother. Lyze also begins his training at his own free will.

Yay I've got the book! I'm not as far as you Mikey considering I've only been reading it for two hours nonstop. So far I am on Chapter 5.
I do think so far it's one of the best books I've read of Guardians-
Code:
SPOILERS! I love the owlet stage of Ezylryb. It's hard to think of him as an owlet.
I also like how Kathyrn Lasky doesn't just write about owls she explains what makes them different. No one quite uses her unique style of writing!

I just brought my copy from Ebay about one minute ago. Sad thing is, I will not be able to start reading it to a least the 16th, as that is when it will arrive through my letter box. Very Happy
