Did Ezylryb really say that???...I don't know...

What I am saying is that Ezylryb was the leader of the guardians back when he fought Metal Beak in the battle of the ice claws...so everyone must be knowing who he is(Lyze of Kiel)...but how come no owl knows who he is after that...Soren clearly states that point by saying 'why he didn't let anyone know the truth'...this is according to the movie...
If you check out that video I mentioned in the previous post then you can see things clearly...

Am I clear now???

Okay, summarize your question into one sentence and I'll be much more confident answering Razz

it's because ezylryb wanted a low profile after the ice claw war was over, thus why he changed lyze to ezyl. he didn't want to be known for that in person (well, in owl, I guess) like soren figured out. his life as a war veteran was over and he wanted to focus on being a chaw teacher.

All that is fine...but how could someone sooo great simply hide his name and no one in the tree can tell whether he is Lyze or not...I mean is it that everyone in the tree knows who he is and it is that they understand that he doesn't like to be called that way or what???...then if that was the case then why was it that he was sooo reluctant in revealing who he was to Soren...I mean if everyone in the tree knows who he is then they could have just told him right?

It is because he wanted to give it a rest, he realised the truth about war and no longer wanted to take part in it.

No, because he wants people to know him as a teacher. Not a war monger. Those who know him well, know him as both and so they have respect for him.

I think only the Guardians who knew him before the name change knew his identity, and respected his desire to hide it.

It's insane, how long it's been since the fans had any sort of new material, and then how many disputed over what we did get, and yet here we are now geeking out over a new book. That takes fidelity, on both the fans and the author's part, to stick to such a weird series (owls with flamethrowers).

It's like you're morally obligated to read it.

Oh, yeah, I remember that one scene...with the flamethrower.
Good times.

This fandom is my family. I never ditch my family (unless they're inconveniencing me)
