I also read this book, and I have a suggestion for a similar book which I also enjoyed. I do not know if it has been mentioned anywhere else in the forums, (probably) but in any case. The title is "The Owl Who Liked Sitting on Caesar" it is also about how a person's life was changed when an owl enters his life. I may try to find a place to post more book suggestions on the forum, this topic just caught my attention while I was looking through the pages. Thanks!
