It's about a boy whose father is a logger, but he runs into trouble because of the endangered spotted owls. Then, they find a baby owl, and the family decides to raise it. Later, when it gets older, they find out that it's a spotted owl.

Because protecting spotted owls has cost Borden's father his job as a logger in the forests of California, Borden intends to kill any spotted owl he sees.

Oooh! I've read this book! I love it! it's one of my favorite books. Yet, I remember so little of it. I read it a few years ago (I think) and my memory is terrible. Ugh! On topic. As I said I like the book.

We have the book, I should probably read it sometime soon. I have it in my personal library! (books overwhelm my teeny closet)
